This Cruise is part of the Tourism for All program TPT, which offers specific trips for young people and adults with Down syndrome, who can enjoy for the first time tourism services specially designed for them, and for other people with cognitive-type functional diversity .

Within the TPT programming we are pleased to offer this tour specially prepared for young people and adults between 18 and 50 years old, willing to travel alone or in a group, with friends, or with desires to meet other people in similar conditions and interests.

From the beginning of the tour, they will be accompanied by specialized personnel, expert in the care of people with functional diversity. Also, the program incorporates interesting and fun activities throughout the trip to help strengthen their social skills and autonomy.

Our Mediterranean Cruise offers travelers an endless number of exciting and enjoyable experiences in its journey through important ports, beaches and cities in Spain, Italy and France, full of history, diversity of cultural expressions, lots of fun and tasting the rich cuisine of each visited place. They can also enjoy the magnificent facilities of the boat with a number of activities designed for maximum enjoyment, as well as to deepen interpersonal relationships.

Travelers can enjoy an excursion at each of the five stops on this cruise. Always in the company of specialized personnel.

Day 1- Jul 23 | Embarking Barcelona (Spain)

7:00 pm Embarking on the Costa Diadema from the Port of Barcelona. After the installation in the cabins, travelers can begin to taste, from the dinner of the first day, the specialties of the exquisite menu of Italian food specially prepared by the chefs on board.

Day 2 and 3 – Jul 24 and 25 | . Palma de Mallorca- SPAIN

After breakfast, we will disembark in the port of Palma de Mallorca, capital of the Balearic Islands, tourist center of sun and beach. Here accompanied by specialized personnel in TPT, we will make the excursion:

00G5 – “Discovering Palma and its flavors”.

An interesting excursion of 3 and a half hours, to know the architectural beauties of the city of Palma. And with an added interest: a tasting of typical Spanish tapas, accompanied by a good glass of sangria.

What we are going to see

Escollera, Litoral, Llotia (exterior view), Almudaina Palace, Santa María Cathedral (La Seu) Tapas and Sangría
What we will do

Palma is famous for the sea, for its mild climate throughout the year and for the great number of diversions it offers. But the capital of the island of Mallorca is not just tourism, it is full of splendid monuments and palaces and has a delicious historical center. The visit leaves from the Escollera, where we can contemplate the beautiful coastline, after which we go, on foot, through the narrow streets that take us to the most emblematic monuments of the city. Like La Llotja (or Lonja), magnificent Gothic building, former headquarters of the merchants’ guild and currently used for cultural events and other official functions, the Royal Palace of the Almudaina residence of the kings of Spain when they visit the island and the splendid Gothic cathedral of Santa María (La Seu), the most well-known building in the city and whose renovation was directed by Antonio Gaudí, we can not miss the main facade of the Gothic Eye, one of the largest Gothic rose windows in Europe. We continue the walk through the old town and arrive at the bar La Quinta Puñeta, where we will stop to try magnificent tapas, accompanied by a good glass of fresh sangria.
After the tasting, we return to the Escollera and climb back to the bus that returns us to the boat.

* Monuments and palaces are only visited from the outside.

* Transfer by coach to the Escollera, the rest of the tour takes place on foot.

* Duration 3 ½ hours approximately.

Upon returning to the ship, we will enjoy various activities designed and carried out by specialized TPT personnel.

Day 4 – Jul 26 | Cagliari (Sardinia) – ITALY

The second Italian island in size, located in the heart of the Mediterranean, impresses with its natural environment, its beautiful beaches and the typical villages where we can enjoy its unique culture. To appreciate the beauty and cultural richness of the region, with the company of TPT specialist personnel, we will make the excursion

01EJ – “Discovering Cagliari with tasting”

An impressive tour to enjoy the best of Cagliari, not only the art, architecture, archeology and views of the city, but also the products of this land, such as typical dishes and drinks, where to recover energy after a walk through the narrow streets of the medieval old town.

* Duration approximately 4 hours

Upon returning to the ship, we will enjoy various activities designed and carried out by specialized TPT personnel.

Day 5 – Jul 27 | Civitavecchia (Rome) – ITALY

Beautiful and ancient city, the Italian capital is a real open-air museum, full of fountains, monuments, squares, wonderful gastronomy, shopping centers and cheerful people. Here the group will make the excursion

2098 “Ancient and Modern Rome”.

By coach and on foot, accompanied by the specialized staff of TPT and by a local guide, this excursion allows us to visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where history and culture merge magically.

What we are going to see

Castel Sant’Angelo and Via della Conciliazione St. Peter’s Square, Bernini’s Colonnade and St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, Circus Maximus and Cestia Pyramid
What we will do

We leave Civitavecchia behind to direct us by coach to Rome. We begin an excursion to the eternal city where we can admire some of its most famous monuments and squares. In the company of an expert guide, we passed through the Castel Sant’Angelo, built as a mausoleum and used over the centuries as a papal residence, courthouse, fortress and prison, as well as the Via della Concilazione, which connects the capital of Italy with the Vatican State. We pass the subtle travertine marble strip that indicates between the two States and we enter the Plaza de San Pedro, a very symbolic place for Christianity, where we have free time to take photos and admire architectural masterpieces such as the Colonnade by Bernini and the Basilica of Saint Peter. The tour continues to the Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous fountains in the world. There we can freely explore the surroundings, go shopping and take advantage of the lunch break.
In the afternoon, our local guide accompanies us on a panoramic tour by coach, to discover the treasures of ancient Rome. We pass before the Colosseum, one of the seven wonders of the modern world and symbol of the greatness of Rome caput mundi, the Circus Maximus, which was used to celebrate horse races and the Pyramid Cestia, a funeral monument of Egyptian style erected in the century I before C.

* The excursion includes a basket of food selected by the staff on board

* Interior visits are not made

* The journey to Rome lasts approximately 1½ hours

* The approximate duration of the tour is 9 hours

After the excursion we will return to Civitavecchia, taking the memory of an unforgettable day.

Upon returning to the ship, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Day 6 – Jul 28 | Savona (Sardinia) – ITALY

Savona is one of the main ports of Italy. Here we made an authentic trip to the Middle Ages. For this, with the company of TPT specialist personnel, we will make the excursion:

01QJ – “A leap to the Middle Ages: Finalborgo and Noli”

We will make an authentic trip to the Middle Ages exploring Finalborgo and Noli, two of the most beautiful villages in Italy, which have a long history and suggestive environments in which we will feel transported back in time.

What we will do

Together with our special TPT staff and the guide, we leave the port on board a bus and arrive at the first destination of our trip: Finalborgo, included among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, although according to recent studies its foundation goes back a few centuries.
Walking through the streets of the old town we can enjoy the medieval atmosphere of its glorious past, recreated by the imposing Castel San Giovani, which rises majestically in defense of the city, as well as the rest of notable artistic testimonies such as the Basilica of San Biagio, the old “Convent of Santa Caterina” and the many Renaissance palaces.
We say goodbye to Finalborgo to meet another gem of medieval origin from the Riviera of Liguria: Noli. This charming town saw the birth of skilled merchants and sailors, becoming an independent maritime republic.
We walk through the historic center admiring the numerous buildings that evoke a past full of charm, such as the tower of the Canto and the Torre del Comune, some of the last survivors of the seventy-two Noli towers, sections of the wall that enclosed the town in an impenetrable barrier and the Cathedral of San Paragorio, emblematic of Romanesque Ligure, dating back to the 12th century

Day 7 – Jul 29 | Marseille – FRANCE

Multicultural city of southern France, and one of the main European ports, Marseille has magnificent beaches and the largest number of museums after Paris. We will tour this beautiful city to know its most valuable places historically and culturally, and we will have time to buy a souvenir. All this in the company of our TPT specialist staff and on the tour:

0421 – “Panoramic visit to Marseille and shopping in the center”

An excursion to what is considered the capital of southern France; a panoramic visit of Marseille, by coach, to contemplate its main attractions, with the possibility of shopping or walking around the city.

What we are going to see

What we will do

We start our tour by coach visiting the famous Comiche Kennedy, the maritime promenade of Marseille, which offers us excellent views of the islands located at the entrance of the port, up to the Borely Escale, where we will make a brief stop to take some photos and enjoy of the panorama. We resume our tour to the Cathedral of Santa María la Mayor, neo-Byzantine style, where we stop again to take some pictures, then we went to the Fort of San Juan, the church of San Lorenzo, a beautiful example of Provencal Romanesque architecture, built with pink stone and finally, to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Guard, from which we enjoyed magnificent views of the city.
At the end of the tour by coach leaves us in the area of Puerto Viejo, where we have some time to walk or make some purchases before returning to the port.
* In case of celebrations, only the exterior of the churches is visited

* Duration approximately 3 ½ hours

The cruise ends with a farewell party on the ship.

Day 8 – Jul 30 | Barcelona, Spain)

Arrival in Barcelona and end of our trip.
